Terms of Service

The short version

Verteq helps you plan, budget, and keep track of the money in your home build. These terms are the agreement between you and Rasabi Company Ltd, the company that operates Verteq, for your use of it.

The important part: Verteq gives you estimates and a place to record, check, and verify figures — it doesn’t make your financial decisions for you, and it isn’t professional advice. Use it to inform your own judgement. If you don’t agree with these terms, please don’t use Verteq.

Who we are

Verteq is operated by Rasabi Company Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company based in Accra, Ghana. In these terms, “Verteq”, “the app”, or “the service” means the Verteq web app, the Verteq mobile apps, and this website, together with their features.

Using Verteq

You must be at least 18 years old to use Verteq. When you create an account, give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. Activity through your account is treated as yours, so tell us promptly at hello@verteq.build if you think someone else has gained access.

You’re also responsible for the people you invite to a project and the role you give each of them. Choose who can see and change your figures with care.

What Verteq is — and isn’t

Verteq helps you organise a build: draft a budget, record spending, track tasks and payments, and verify work and figures with your team. It brings your numbers into one place so you can hold people to them.

Verteq is not financial, accounting, legal, engineering, valuation, or professional construction advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. The budgets, forecasts, price estimates, and other figures Verteq shows are estimates — based on the information you and your team enter and on reference prices that change over time. They are there to inform your decisions, not to make them. The decisions, and their outcomes, are yours.

Your licence to use Verteq

For as long as you keep to these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use Verteq to plan and account for your own build. This licence is simply permission to use the service as intended — it does not give you any ownership of Verteq, or the right to copy, sell, sub-licence, or build on it.

Our intellectual property

Verteq — including the app, its software, design, look and feel, and the Verteq name and logo — belongs to Rasabi Company Ltd (or our licensors) and is protected by intellectual-property law. These terms don’t transfer any of that to you, and you may not use the Verteq name, logo, or branding without our written permission. Ownership of the content you upload stays with you, as set out in “Your content”.

Your content

You keep ownership of the plans, figures, documents, and photos you put into Verteq (“your content”). You give us permission to store, copy, and process your content as far as needed to run the service for you — including sending documents you upload, and voice notes you record to the assistant, to a third-party AI provider so their contents can be read back into your project. How we handle your content is set out in our Privacy Policy.

You’re responsible for your content: for having the right to upload it, and for it not breaking the law or anyone else’s rights. Don’t upload other people’s personal or confidential information unless you’re allowed to.

Acceptable use

Please use Verteq only for its purpose — planning and accounting for a build. Don’t use it for anything unlawful; don’t try to break, probe, or get around its security; don’t access accounts or projects that aren’t yours; don’t copy, resell, rent out, or reverse-engineer the service; don’t upload malware; and don’t use it to deceive or defraud anyone. We may suspend or close accounts used this way.

Prices, estimates, and third parties

Verteq may show reference prices, a price index, product catalogues, and links to third-party retailers to help you plan. These are for guidance only. Prices change constantly and availability varies. We don’t sell those goods and don’t control those other websites, so we’re not responsible for their content, their prices, or your dealings with them. Always confirm figures and prices yourself before you commit money.

Verteq relies on third-party services — such as hosting, storage, email, and AI processing — to work. These are listed in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Verteq running, but we can’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features, and we may carry out maintenance that interrupts the service. Where a change is significant, we’ll try to let you know in advance.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — for example power or internet outages, failures of the third-party services we rely on, or natural events.

Fees

Verteq may be offered free of charge or with paid features. If a charge applies to you, we’ll make the price clear and get your agreement before you’re charged, and we’ll give you notice of changes to any fees you’re already paying.

No warranty

Verteq is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it — including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or fit for a particular purpose. In particular, we don’t warrant that any estimate, forecast, or price shown in the app is correct or complete.

Our responsibility to you

Verteq is a tool to help you keep track of your money; it does not hold, move, or manage your money, and it is not responsible for how your build turns out.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Rasabi Company Ltd is not liable for any decision you make using Verteq or its estimates, or for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data, or opportunity. Where our liability to you cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us to use Verteq in the twelve months before the claim — or, if Verteq was free to you, to a nominal amount.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law of Ghana, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Verteq — for example, content you uploaded that you didn’t have the right to, or your breach of these terms — you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, to the extent the law allows.

Suspending or ending your use

You can stop using Verteq at any time and ask us to delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or use Verteq in a way that risks harm to other people or to the service. If your account ends, the parts of these terms that should reasonably continue — such as ownership, disclaimers, and the limits on our liability — still apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Verteq develops. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app or by email. If you keep using Verteq after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated terms.

General

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part is treated as removed and the rest of the terms stay in force.

You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours — for example if our business is reorganised or sold — as long as your rights under these terms are not reduced.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of Verteq, and replace any earlier understandings on that subject.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. This does not take away any protection you have under Ghanaian law that must apply to you.
