Verteq

Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 July 2026

The short version

Verteq helps you plan and account for the money in your home build. To do that, we hold the figures you and your team enter, the documents and photos you upload, and the details of your account.

We use that information to run the service for you. We don't sell it. We share it only with the teammates you invite and the service providers that operate Verteq on our behalf. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, at any time.

Who we are

Verteq is a construction-budgeting and accountability service for homeowners building in Ghana. It is operated by Rasabi Company Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company based in Accra, Ghana. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to the Verteq web app, the Verteq mobile apps, and this website.

What we collect

Account information — your name, email address, phone number (if you add one), and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in a readable form.

Your build — the plan, phases, tasks, budgets, expenses, payments, and decisions that you and your team record. This is the core of what Verteq holds for you.

Documents and photos — building plans, bills of quantities, contractor estimates, receipts, invoices, and site photos that you choose to upload.

Voice notes — if you speak to the Verteq assistant instead of typing, the recording is sent to our AI provider to be turned into text for you to review before you send it. We don’t keep the recording.

Location — when you log an expense, Verteq can ask your device for its current location so the entry notes where on site it was recorded, and it is saved with that expense. This is optional: you can decline the permission, and expenses save with or without it. Photos you upload may also carry location and time details in their own metadata.

Your team — the people you invite to a project, and the role you give each of them.

Technical information — basic device and browser details, your IP address, and cookies that keep you signed in.

How we use your information

To provide the service — to draft and track your budget, record spending, run the verification and sign-off features, and show you where your money is going.

To read your documents — see “Reading your documents with AI” below.

To communicate with you — to confirm your account, send sign-in codes, and send the notifications you’ve asked for (by email, and in the app).

To keep Verteq secure and working — to sign you in, prevent abuse, fix problems, and improve the product.

Reading your documents with AI

When you upload a document — a plan, a bill of quantities, an estimate, or a receipt — or record a voice note to the assistant, its contents are sent to a third-party AI provider so the figures, line items, or spoken words can be read and returned to you. This is what lets Verteq turn your paperwork into a structured plan you can hold people to.

We use this processing only to build and update your own plan. We do not sell your documents or recordings, and we do not use them to train our own models. The AI provider processes the content to return the result to us, and handles it under its own terms.

Who we share it with

Your project team — the members you invite can see the project’s information according to the role you give them. Sharing within a project is the point of Verteq; you control who is on a project.

Service providers — companies that run parts of Verteq for us and process your information only on our instructions. These currently include: Supabase (database, sign-in, and file storage), Vercel (hosting), OpenRouter and the AI models it connects to (reading your documents), Resend (sending email). The apps are distributed through Apple’s App Store and Google Play.

Legal reasons — we may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Where your information is stored

Your information is stored on the infrastructure of the service providers above, which may be located outside Ghana. It is encrypted in transit (over HTTPS), and access is restricted so that you and your invited team see only your own projects.

Because our providers operate internationally, your information may be processed or stored in other countries. We rely on those providers’ security and data-protection safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our live systems, except where we are required to keep some of it to meet a legal obligation. Backups are cleared on our providers’ normal cycles.

Your rights

You have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it’s wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to receive a copy of it. You can also object to certain uses, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.

Under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have these rights over your personal data, and you may complain to the Data Protection Commission if you believe we have handled your information improperly.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@verteq.build. Much of your data you can also see and edit directly inside the app.

Children

Verteq is intended for adults managing a building project. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Verteq grows. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Verteq after a change means you accept the updated policy.
